Self catering country properties available for holiday rentals in Normandy, France. Our country cottage, L'Etre Bidault, is situated in the beautiful countryside of southern Orne in Normandy. This area has many cultural and historical places of interest. Medieval towns, chateaux, local markets are close by, as well as opportunities for many outdoor activities. The cottages are located in the L’Etre Bidault lies on the edge of the Foret d'Andaines, which stretches for over ten miles and is full of wildlife including red squirrels and Our cottage offers visitors a higher level of comfort than is found in most gites. L'Etre Bidault comfortably sleeps 4 people, but for larger groups we are pleased to be able to recommend La Pommeraye, a large country house near Granville. La Pommeraye is located on the edge of a quiet country village, less than 15 minutes drive from the beautiful sandy beaches around Granville. A superb location for those who want to enjoy both the Normandy countryside and the seaside. The properties are within easy driving distance from the ports of St Malo ( 1hr 45 ); Caen ( 1hr 30 ); or Cherbourg ( 2 hrs 15 ). We are also accessible from further afield. The journey from Le Havre takes 2 hrs 45 and Calais 4 hrs 30. If you prefer to fly, the nearest airports are Dinard and Rennes ( 1hr 30 drive).
