Le Boisgontier is a beautifully renovated stone barn set in a pretty, well kept hamlet of 6 houses in the countryside south of Domfront.

The nearest small town is Ceauce, 3km away, with banks, a post office, a bar and several shops.

The property offers flexible accommodation to suit your group's size and requirements. It can be rented as a two or three bedroomed cottage.

Accommodation

The ground floor comprises one large double bedroom with kingsize bed; a fully fitted kitchen, with dishwasher, washing machine, built in cooker and hob and seating for 4 people; bathroom with separate toilet; a spacious lounge with wood burner and separate dining area seating six. French doors lead from the lounge to the private, enclosed garden to the rear of the property with views of the fields beyond. Garden furniture and BBQ are provided.

The newly renovated first floor contains the twin bedroom and mezzanine area with comfortable seating, providing a second lounge. A second accommodation option is offered, which includes the large master bedroom with kingsize bed, ensuite shower room and private balcony. Prices depend on occupancy. Please ask for details. Whichever accommodation option is chosen, exclusive use of the property and garden is included.  

Facilities

The cottage is very well equipped with gas central heating to the ground floor, electric heater to the first floor, and wood burner in the lounge; all modern kitchen appliances; satellite TV; hairdryer and CD and DVD players. Wi-fi internet access is also now offered. The cottage is suitable for the less mobile, as it has one double bedroom as well as bathroom and toilet on the ground floor.

Pets are welcome at Le Boisgontier. We accept up to two dogs per booking. The cottage, with its fully enclosed garden, lies at the end of a country lane with no through traffic.

Location

Le Boisgontier is ideally located for a wide variety of outdoor activities from canoeing to horse riding, forest walks to bike rides, as well as being only a short drive from the historic towns of Lassay-les-Chateaux and Domfront, the spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne and just beyond to La Ferte Mace which has its own lake with beach. The town of Mayenne, a 20 minutes drive to the south, has excellent shopping facilities and sightseeing.

Prices and Availability

The cottage sleeps  two - six people ( plus cot) and is available for rent throughout the year, for a minimum of one week during July and August, but for shorter or long term lets at other times.

Saturday changeover during the peak season. Other arrival/departure days are possible during the rest of the year.
